Support Fargo – Moorhead
The population of low-income single mothers in Fargo-Moorhead is on the rise. Nearly 1,900 single mothers are living in poverty in the Fargo-Moorhead metro area. More than 1,100 of these families have children under age five and 47% of them earn less than $20,000 annually. Without a college degree and life skills training, a livable wage is out of reach for these women, and the cycle of poverty continues for their children.
Single mothers and their children are among the most vulnerable citizens. They face significant barriers due to the lack of higher education for the mothers, safe affordable housing for the family, and quality early childhood education for these susceptible children.
We need your help to build a Jeremiah Program campus that enables motivated single mothers to realize their dreams of self-reliance — a community that rewards hard work and determination with the support and guidance it takes to earn a college degree, secure career-track employment, and end reliance on public assistance.
The preschool-aged children, many of whom are developmentally delayed due to living in poverty, will receive high-quality, on-site early childhood education that prepares them for success in kindergarten.
Investing in single mothers and their children yields a return for us all. You can affect change for multiple generations and prepare educated women to contribute to the workforce and become leaders in the community. Through partnerships and reliance on community involvement and volunteer expertise, Jeremiah Program will provide single mothers and their children the opportunity to fully unleash their potential and build a vibrant future.
Please join us in building Jeremiah Program Fargo-Moorhead and transforming the lives of single mothers and their children.
